Fantasy Profile: Amari Cooper, WR, Oakland Raiders
Rookie wide receivers do not often step in as the immediate go-to guy on NFL franchises, but that is what is expected of Amari Cooper of the Oakland Raiders. Cooper possesses some of the best hands and route running skills of any receiver to enter the NFL in years, and this will help out young quarterback David Carr immensely. Carr leaned on tight end Mychal Rivera and wide receiver James Jones in short underneath routes last season, but Cooper can provide superior athleticism when compared to those options and help stretch the field more. Cooper hopes to turn into the new Tim Brown; while there may be some bumps along the way with a young offense, Cooper should be able to provide low end WR2 or very high end WR3 numbers in 2015. Dive in, but do not go overboard expecting a top 20 standard format season.
