Fantasy Profile: Jeremy Maclin, WR, Kansas City Chiefs
After an injury cost him all of the 2013 season, Jeremy Maclin returned and had a fantastic year in 2014 with the Philadelphia Eagles. He recorded 85 receptions with 1318 yards and 10 touchdowns. Maclin is speedy deep threat who can take it to the house on any play. While his abilities and big play prowess were well displayed in Philly, he signed a contract with Kansas City in the off season.
Alex Smith is not known for his deep ball accuracy or his ability to get the ball to his receivers in the end zone (zero passing touchdowns to receivers in 2014). Andy Reid is familiar with Maclin and will look to get him involved in their offense. While Maclin coming to town should help the passing game in Kansas City, I would temper fantasy expectations for Maclin in 2015.
