Fantasy Profile: Calvin Johnson, WR, Detroit Lions
Calvin Johnson was a top 15 wide receiver in 2014 despite only playing 12 games (he got hurt against Buffalo on the second play of a game, and thus does not count as a full game). Johnson is one of the best athletes in the NFL and has a massive catch radius. He has always been a top fantasy option and this year should be no different.
Detroit will be in the second year of Joe Lombardi’s offense, so expect major improvements from the team as Matthew Stafford and company are more comfortable in year two. Johnson should also benefit from the emergence of Golden Tate opposite him. Defenses can no longer solely focus on Johnson. Expect a year more similar to 2013 for Megatron: 1400-1500 yards and anywhere between 11 and 13 touchdowns.
