Fantasy Profile: Martavis Bryant, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers
Martavis Bryant is a tall, lean, speed machine that can take the top off of the defense by blazing down the field. With limited work in ten games last year, while starting only three he had 26 receptions for 549 yards and an impressive 8 touchdowns. While Bryant has a limited sample size to study with only 26 catches, he improved as the season went on last year. He also has the fantastic benefit from playing in a high powered offensive attack.
With guys like Antonio Brown, Heath Miller and Le’Veon Bell to take the attention away, he will find himself in great match ups. You can’t forget how much Roethlisberger loves to chuck the deep ball and that is right in Bryant’s wheelhouse. Bryant will compete with Markus Wheaton for touches in the second receiver spot at times but he is the deep threat in that offense and will be on the field plenty. He is a mid round target with the potential for big upside.
