Fantasy Profile: Julius Thomas, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars
Following two successful seasons as the starting tight end for the Denver Broncos, Thomas left for the big money offered to him by Jacksonville when he became a free agent. While at first glance this may seem like bad news for the fantasy prospects of Thomas, there is another view that he will see a larger percentage of targets in Jacksonville than he did in Denver.
I expect Thomas to receive a lot more defensive coverage in the red zone, so his touchdowns are likely to drop; however, I think his targets will increase outside of the red zone and will lead to a career year in terms of his yardage totals. His current ADP is probably a fair assessment of the risk in selecting Thomas, look to take him as the sixth or seventh tight end off the board in your draft.
