Fantasy Profile: Dwayne Allen, TE, Indianapolis Colts

Dwayne Allen was one of the biggest hit or miss tight ends in fantasy last year. While he did finish 14th at his position in scoring, posting 29 Receptions for 395 yards and 8 touchdowns. He is not the number one tight end on the Indianapolis Colts, sitting behind Coby Fleener on the depth chart. This meant that while he could put up big points on a week where he got into the endzone, he could also be responsible for some low scores when he didn’t.

Allen is a good red zone target for Andrew Luck but he is not the receiving tight end that Fleener is. Allen’s fantasy value is very touchdown dependent and with the signing of Andre Johnson we could see a decrease in his production. Allen is still worth a late round flier and if Fleener were to miss time Allen would immediately become a top ten tight end.
