Fantasy Profile: Travis Kelce, TE, Kansas City Chiefs
Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was a surprise to many fantasy owners in 2014, as his breakout campaign featured 67 receptions for 862 yards and five touchdowns. He was the eighth best scoring tight end last season and is entering 2015 predicted by many to be a top five scorer at the position. According to the Kansas City Star, head coach Andy Reid has very high expectations for the talented Kelce in 2015 and his role in the offense should increase.
Kelce missed his entire rookie season due to injury in 2013 and could not start practicing until a month before the 2014 NFL season. He is able to do a lot more this off-season because he is healthy. The addition of Jeremy Maclin should also lighten the coverage on Kelce. We know that quarterback Alex Smith loves his tight ends and we also believe that Kelce should be a top five tight end this year. Fumbling was an issue for Kelce last year though, and is something he will have to tighten up on.
