Wrestling 2 the MAX: AAA Triplemania 23 Preview, RAW, Ultima Lucha Part 2 Review

This week on W2M, we are going to be heavy on promotions not based in the United States. AAA is having the 23rd edition of their Wrestlemania called Triplemania on Sunday night. So, we are going to do a AAA Triplemania 23 preview on the back of the season finale of Lucha Underground as well, in our Ultima Lucha Part 2 Review. So, we will discuss what we’ve thought of the season, what we liked, what we disliked, and more.

We are also going to discuss how we think things have gone for the New Japan G1 Climax 25 now that we’ve passed the half way point.

However, we start with Quick Hits (6-68:00) where we give Paul the floor to discuss his feelings on the passing of Roddy Piper, the listing of WWE 2K16 features, a possible WWE Divas Tag Team Titles being in the works, The Submission Sorority is bad, Paige on the Stone Cold podcast, Bash at the Beach coming back maybe? And more.

Then we do our review of WWE RAW (69:00-110:00) by storyline and also discuss NXT (111-128:00) as well. After that it is all about Ultima Lucha Part 2 (129:00-167:00) and we also do an end of season wrap-up on the show as well.

We preview AAA’s Triplemania 23 (167:30-178:30), then we have a discussion on the NJPW G1 Climax 25 (179:00-195:00) at the half way point, and finish up with TNA Impact No Surrender (196:00-212:00), ROH TV (212:00-217:00) and our W2M Top 5 Rankings (218:00-End)

Sean Garmer: studied Journalism at the University of North Texas. Sean loves pro-wrestling so much that he even trained to be a wrestler at the age of 17. Though he eventually had to quit wrestling to go to college, he still returned to do play-by-play commentary, help write storylines, and most of all, to watch matches. Sean started his love of pro-wrestling at the age of five after watching a Hulk Hogan match. Due to his family hating sports-entertainment, there were many years he missed. However, he returned full-time to being a fan in the late 1990’s. Since then, Sean has gone on to write for various wrestling websites in a number of capacities, but he discovered his true passion, Podcasting, two years ago when he and Gary started the Wrestling 2 the MAX Podcast.

Gary Vaughan: is a native North Texan with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas. His time in college actually rekindled his love of pro wrestling he had lost somewhere along the way. Gary’s enjoyment of the sport began around 1996. As a fan, he has become a student of the wrestling business and gains knowledge through many platforms. WCW is dear to his heart because of it being his introduction to the scene. Now, Gary is a proud podcast host, as well as a writer for wrestling columns.

Paul Leazar: is a recent college graduate from the University of North Texas with an immense amount of time on his hands because nobody wants to hire the idiot with the History degree. He was born an’ raised in the great state of Texas, and began his love affair with pro wrestling at the tender age of five after watching WWF’s Summerslam 1993 pay-per-view. The relationship turned serious with the growth of independent wrestling and the internet in the early 2000’s, which has seen the love affair turn into a full blown addiction that led him to write about it sporadically for various websites, and co-host the Wrestling 2 The Max podcast.
