Fantasy Profile: Charles Clay, TE, Buffalo Bills

Last year Clay was a sleeper crush that many fantasy enthusiasts possessed. That shortly faded when it became clear that the new coaching regime in Miami didn’t have a passing game that included Clay in it. There were four games that Clay got over the 50 yard mark in receiving yards, one where he totaled 114 yards, but most of the Dolphins games were dink-n-dunk, attested by two different games where Clay had seven receptions with 45 yards or less.

This year Clay’s fantasy value is shrouded in a cosmic cloak called the quarterback battle, and the head runner is a journeyman by trade, Matt Cassel. The Buffalo Bills are under new management, again, with a cast of new players vying for attention. So, don’t be shocked if Clay isn’t implemented into the playbook in the most romantic way.
