After the Toronto Maple Leafs and goaltender Jonathan Bernier had an arbitration hearing on Friday, the parties have settled their differences prior to receiving a ruling from the arbitrator. Bernier and the team have agreed to a two-year contract extension, keeping Bernier from hitting unrestricted free agency next summer. According to reports the deal is worth $8.3 million, or $4.15 million AAV. The Leafs had elected for arbitration with the restricted free agent Bernier back in June.
