2015 Hungarian Grand Prix Manor Preview

On what will be a tough weekend for the entirety of Formula 1, no team will find it tougher than the Manor Marussia team, who would not be here without Jules Bianchi toppling the Caterham team back in 2013, and then both Caterham and even Sauber in 2014. Whilst his loss is very sad indeed, this will not stop Manor from operating to the best of their ability. Their third driver gets a shot in FP1 this weekend, whilst the chance of rain could help the team claim improve on their best result of the season, which they achieved last time out at Silverstone.

2015 Hungarian Grand Prix Manor Preview

No. 28 Will Stevens
Form: 17/17/17/R/13

Stevens’ form has been a touch shaky as of late. A crash late on in the race at Silverstone cost him a very strong position in the race and therefore improving his championship position. He has raced at the Hungaroring before, taking a third place with Carlin in the Formula Renault 3.5 series back in 2012. He will be hoping to do the team proud this weekend in honour of their fallen comrade.

No. 42 Fabio Leimer

The 2013 GP2 champion will get a chance to show what he is capable of as he takes part in a Formula One session for the first time in his career. Leimer has recently raced in LMP1 for Rebellion Racing and in Formula e with the Virgin team.

No. 98 Roberto Merhi
Form: 18/16/R/14/12

The Hungaroring is a happy hunting ground for Merhi, who has taken one win and two second places in four races here in the Formula Renault 3.5 series, and has already raced here this season in that category. After being excluded from the two races at Red Bull Ring for a dangerous manoeuvre at the end of the race there, he will be looking for a much more low-key weekend on a tough weekend for the team.
