2015 Hungarian Grand Prix Red Bull Preview

After a very mixed race in a very sunny yet soggy Silverstone, we find ourselves heading to the Hungaroring.

2015 Hungarian Grand Prix Red Bull Preview

This was a very happy hunting ground for Daniel Ricciardo last year who won the race with an aggressive strategy and superb manoeuvres on Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso to take his second win of 2014. Whilst Sebastian Vettel floundered and came within millimetres of mimicking Sergio Perez’s crash on the front straight.

While the mood of the weekend will be very sombre with the whole paddock remembering a fallen brother in Jules Bianchi, deep down everyone will want to put on a good performance and race hard in his memory.

The Hungaroring is often referred to ‘Monaco without the barriers’ because of it’s tight twisty nature in bowl like valley, with far less emphasis on this circuit for outright engine power the field is expected to close up quite a bit.

Red Bull will fancy themselves to mix it with Williams and even Ferrari using the chassis strengths of the RB11 and attempt to get a good haul of points to stay ahead of Force India who have firmly put the bulls in their sights for fourth place in the constructors championship standings.

Daniel Ricciardo will be looking to score big here and show that Silverstone’s engine glitches are fixed and that he can still mix it with top guys, Daniil Kyvat with his new found form on the track, appearing to now be finding his way with the RB11, will want to show what he is made of and race hard to ensure he is still kept in the Red Bull line-up in the future.
