LAST TIME OUT: Saint Louis FC snapped a nine-game winless streak in USL play with a 2-1 victory over Charlotte Indepedence at Ramblewood Stadium last weekend. With the game tied 1-1 in the 89th minute, substitute Kingsley Bryce pounced on a rebound from close range to score his first goal of the season and give Saint Louis FC the win.
THE OPPONENT: The Richmond Kickers are winless in their last five USL matches and are coming off a 3-0 defeat at Louisville City FC last weekend. After going 4-0-3 to start the season, Richmond is 2-3-5 in its last 10 matches and has been held scoreless in its four previous games.
THE NUMBERS: By taking a combined four points from its games in Wilmington and Charlotte last week, Saint Louis FC is now 3-1-3 on the road in league play this season. STL FC is unbeaten in its last six away matches, with its only road loss coming in the season opener at Louisville on March 28. The club will be looking to replicate its road success at home, where Saint Louis is 1-4-3 on the year.
KANN STANDS TALL: Goalkeeper Alec Kann made some vital stops for Saint Louis FC on its two-game road trip last week. In his two starts against Wilmington and Charlotte, he combined to make 13 saves while allowing just one goal. With eight starts this season, Kann currently ranks 5th among all USL goalkeepers in goals against average (1.00).
