Wrestling 2 the MAX: NJPW Dominion 7/5 Previews

This week on W2M Episode 150 we are joined by Christopher Hale for a large portion of the show. The description of the show now has time stamps to make it easier for you to find what you want to listen to. We also debut a few segments on here as well.

In “Quick Hits,” (which begins at 10:39) we discuss WWE doing more recorded live events on the WWE Network, Brock going on more overseas tours, the continuing saga of TNA, and in our main topic, (which begins at 28:37) we discuss “if wrestling heavy TV shows hurt the ratings”, or if the week of bad ratings was just about something else. There’s also other news and notes from the past week as well

We then start going through things with our review of WWE RAW by storyline, (at 47:43) then we switch to NXT (at 1:43:25,) and end our WWE run with a “Beast in the East” WWE in Japan preview (at 2:15:30.) We stay there for a NJPW Dominion 7/5 Preview (at 2:31:10) as well.

After that, we discuss and review Lucha Underground (at 2:56:00) and do our review of TNA Slammiversary XIII (at 3:05:50) and the TNA Bell to Bell Impact episode (at 3:30:10) and we also debut our W2M Superstar of the Month and W2M Match of the Month to end the episode.

We will be back on Sunday night with a brand new W2M Special reviewing WWE’s Beast in the East and a NJPW Dominion 7/5 event as well.

Sean Garmer: studied Journalism at the University of North Texas. Sean loves pro-wrestling so much that he even trained to be a wrestler at the age of 17. Though he eventually had to quit wrestling to go to college, he still returned to do play-by-play commentary, help write storylines, and most of all, to watch matches. Sean started his love of pro-wrestling at the age of five after watching a Hulk Hogan match. Due to his family hating sports-entertainment, there were many years he missed. However, he returned full-time to being a fan in the late 1990’s. Since then, Sean has gone on to write for various wrestling websites in a number of capacities, but he discovered his true passion, Podcasting, two years ago when he and Gary started the Wrestling 2 the MAX Podcast.

Gary Vaughan: is a native North Texan with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Texas. His time in college actually rekindled his love of pro wrestling he had lost somewhere along the way. Gary’s enjoyment of the sport began around 1996. As a fan, he has become a student of the wrestling business and gains knowledge through many platforms. WCW is dear to his heart because of it being his introduction to the scene. Now, Gary is a proud podcast host, as well as a writer for wrestling columns.

Paul Leazar: is a recent college graduate from the University of North Texas with an immense amount of time on his hands because nobody wants to hire the idiot with the History degree. He was born an’ raised in the great state of Texas, and began his love affair with pro wrestling at the tender age of five after watching WWF’s Summerslam 1993 pay-per-view. The relationship turned serious with the growth of independent wrestling and the internet in the early 2000’s, which has seen the love affair turn into a full blown addiction that led him to write about it sporadically for various websites, and co-host the Wrestling 2 The Max podcast.
