Press Release: Carl Fearns Joins Lyon
Bath Rugby can confirm that Carl Fearns will leave the Club to join French side Lyon this summer.
Back row Fearns, who has made 73 appearances for the West Country side, is renowned for his uncompromising style of play in both attack and defence.
“I’ve had a fantastic four years at Bath during what has been a great time for the Club,” said the 26-year-old. “Whilst I’m sad to be leaving my teammates and coaches here, I’m really looking forward to moving with my family to France and continuing my rugby career in a different environment.”
Mike Ford, Bath Rugby Head Coach, said: “We’re obviously disappointed to let Carl go, but he feels the time is right to make a change, and we respect that. He’s a talented and committed player, and I’m sure he’ll be a great success in France.”
