The British Grand Prix
The Grove outfit returns off the back of two podium finishes from the last two rounds, achieved by both drivers. Therefore, morale is high with both drivers looking to capitalize on it this weekend.
2015 BRITISH GRAND PRIX WILLIAMS PREVIEW
Their recent positive form has enabled Williams to close the gap to Ferrari in the constructors’ championship and the team sees no reason why it can’t continue that at the British Grand Prix. Susie Wolff is lined up to drive in free practice one at Silverstone. However, although Williams has claimed victory on ten separate occasions at the British GP, they will need to overhaul the dominant Mercedes squad if it is to secure an 11th victory on home soil.
No. 77 Valtteri Bottas
Form: DNS/5/6/4/4/14/3/5
Last time out in Austria, Bottas was overshadowed by his Brazilian teammate and qualified relatively out of position. Nevertheless, he clawed his way up to finish fifth and netted a solid ten points. The Finn will be hoping for a repeat performance of his drive to second place last year. However, with a dominant Mercedes and a resurgent Ferrari, the team will be hoping their recent testing and upgrades will help Valtteri on his way to the second step of the podium.
No. 19 Felipe Massa
Form: 4/6/5/10/6/15/6/3
Massa is certainly enjoying impressive form this season and coming off the back of his first podium of the year, hopes to sustain his good form. At last years GP, Massa was the victim of Kimi Räikkönen’s huge crash and was forced to retire after qualifying at the back of the grid. Therefore, he will be hoping for a better run this time out.
