2015 British Grand Prix Force India Preview

A lot of teams claim Silverstone to be their home race. However, despite the name, Force India’s team base is only a short drive away from the Silverstone track, truly making this their home Grand Prix.

2015 BRITISH GRAND PRIX FORCE INDIA PREVIEW

After a double points finish in Austria, the team heads to Silverstone with high hopes, especially as they arrive with their B-Spec car, rife with updates. They suffered delays with its development following a switch of wind tunnels over the winter and missed much of pre-season testing. Nevertheless, Force India has been adding parts for its B-spec package since Monaco, with the final evaluation of the package-taking place in Austria. Now, the team has set its sights on Red Bull and fourth place in the Formula 1 constructors’ championship as its upgraded car arrives for the British Grand Prix.

No. 27 Nico Hülkenberg

Form: 7/14/R/13/15/11/8/6

The Hulk is on excellent form and will hope to maintain his point scoring finishes again this weekend. At the moment, nothing suggests he will struggle with Force India traditionally going well on the circuit. One thing that might concern both drivers however, is how reliable their new car will be. In 2014, Hulkenberg qualified a magnificent fourth on the grid and came home eighth.

No. 11 Sergio Pérez

Form: 10/13/11/8/13/7/11/9

The Mexican driver knows he needs to up his form and get on top of his German teammate. Last time out, despite a points paying finish, his teammate outshone him. Perez finished eleventh after qualifying seventh in 2014, which provides some positives for the driver. With a new Mexican wine sponsor onboard, his place at the team still looks secure.
