To confirm, Gary Parrish and Jeff Goodman also tweeted.
Murray State’s Steve Prohm has reached an agreement to become Iowa State’s next head coach, a source told @CBSSports. Story coming.

Prohm will be replacing Iowa State golden boy, Fred Hoiberg, who used a fast paced offense highlighted by an abundance of three pointers. On the contrary, so does Prohm.
Dan Becker, a contributor to SB Nation’s Iowa State blog Wide Right & Natty Lite gathered stats from KenPom on the point distribution between the two schools last season.
Off/Def Murray St vs Off/Def ISU point distribution. Not a lot of difference, and that's a GREAT thing. pic.twitter.com/z4LSafN7fN

More from KenPom on Murray St vs ISU. This time on tempo.
2 second diff on possession length, that's minuscule. pic.twitter.com/2bZQR7s7zT

Prohm leaves Murray State with a 104-29 record, including a 29-6 performance last season. He leaves Murray State with the best win percentage in MSU history, an OVC outright Championship, three divisional championships, and three trips to the post season with the Racers.
The former Coach of the Year helped to develop Isaiah Canaan, who is now in the NBA playing for the Philadelphia 76ers.
The next questions will arise on whether Prohm can recruit in the Big 12, and he will need to quickly. Four of Iowa State’s best players are in their senior year in Ames, and a fifth could very well could be heading to the NBA in Monte Morris.
A press conference will be conducted at 10:00am CT in Ames. Prohm will agree to a five year deal with a base salery of $1.5 million.
