There was no Monaco magic this time around for the team known as Manor Marussia, as despite chaos occurring at times around the principality, Manor were usually only ever shown on screen whenever they were being lapped by other cars. After finishing multiple laps down, they eventually finished dead last of the classified runners, albeit with Roberto Merhi putting one over Will Stevens for the first time this season.
2015 Monaco Grand Prix Manor Review
No. 28 Will Stevens
Grid: P18
Race: P17
Stevens took his usual spot ahead of Merhi in qualifying, and did a good job of getting out of the way during the race, but for the first time this season, he was unable to beat his team mate in a race situation. With Merhi notably heavier, is Manor finally finding their feet and able to reduce the weight to help Merhi, therefore providing a possible shift in the intra-team battle at Manor Marussia? Time will tell, provided the driver line-up remains the same.
No. 98 Roberto Merhi
Grid: P19
Race: P16
Merhi was notably closer to Stevens across the weekend despite a crash in practice. He also did a very good job of reading blue flags, and even managed to beat his team mate for the first time this year. What a place to do it as well, with Monaco being a true driver circuit. This will do wonders to seeing Merhi remain for more races this year and possibly for the rest of the season. It is the first time this season that he genuinely looked quicker than Stevens across the whole weekend.
