The Stanford talent flow to the NFL is strong and steady. The Cardinal lost six players to the NFL Draft in May with a couple more going the free agency route. The losses are especially impactful on defense where all three levels lost playmakers and leadership. The Indianapolis Colts liked what they saw along the defensive line by selecting DE Henry Anderson (15 TFL, 8.5 Sacks) and NT David Parry (7.5 TFL, 4.5 Sacks). A.J. Tarpley (84 Tackles, 4.5 TFL) and James Vaughters (11 TFL, 6.5 Sacks) continued the recent run of production out of the linebacking core and SS Jordan Richards (79 Tackles, 3 INT) led the secondary along with CB Alex Carter (40 consecutive games played). WR Ty Montgomery (61 Rec, 20 Career TD) may be the most well known loss while LT Andrus Peat was the first Cardinal selected in the NFL Draft (Saints, 1st Round). Don King from right here on LastWordonSports.com joins MarkRogersTV to talk up the next wave of Stanford impact players.
