Waiver Wire Report: Josh Reddick, Outfielder, Oakland Athletics
It looks like the oblique injury that Josh Reddick suffered in spring training has only served to make him better, much better. Right now Reddick is busy keeping a 10-game hitting streak going. During the streak he has 19 hits, 3 home runs and 15 RBI. On Sunday against the Texas Rangers he homered again, giving him back-to-back games with a home run.
In the last two weeks Reddick has a .463 AVG and he is batting like a top-10 producing outfielder. But keep in mind, he is a prone injury player, so don’t get too attached to him.
We also know that Reddick hasn’t been close to that level of productivity with any consistency in his career. He had a great year in 2012 when he had 32 home runs and 85 RBI. However, hea has a career .250 / .310 / .437 slash line which is not bad but not great for an outfielder either. You can expect to see the production level off over time, but right now he is hitting extremely well and could be your guy for a short stint.
Josh Reddick is currently owned in 46% of Yahoo! Sports leagues, so you still have an opportunity to scoop him up.
If you are desperate for production at the plate, go ahead and grab Josh Reddick. He could provide some good short term production for your fantasy team.
