This week on Treble Radio, we continue our lovefest with Leicester City. Seriously, where has this Leicester team been hiding? We touch on Southampton and Spurs, the battle of which team wants to not qualify for Europa League more, before moving to boring Chelsea and Arsenal. Mourinho says some silly things, and Eden Hazard and Harry Kane won some awards, but we’re not sure which ones.
City played Villa, and won, but did they really? Did they win?
United fell to a ridiculously good Everton side, and one player gets the blame here. Does Tim Howard have the answer to the question: Why is Everton suddenly playing so well?
Another question we have involves Liverpool and Hull.
We make our usual faulty predictions for the upcoming weekend, as well as speculate which team will be the final one join the English Premier League for the 2015-16 season. Laura gets a new nickname, which she oddly prefers to Lala, Eric and Arslan rant for a bit, Arslan doesn’t listen to us, and we may or may not go off on multiple tangents.
Treble Radio: Where Has This Leicester Team Been All Year, Tim Howard, and Other Nonsense
As always, give us a follow @TrebleRadio on twitter and tweet us your thoughts, questions, reactions, or whatever you feel like telling us and we’ll talk about it on air.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Laura was trained from birth to be a Nebraska Cornhusker Football fan. Unlike most Huskers, her dad played soccer and introduced her to that sport as well, which understandably stole her heart. Laura’s love for the Spice Girls and Harry Potter carried her love for soccer across the Atlantic to a team not unlike her Huskers, Manchester United. They were once great and believe they can be again, but it hasn’t really happened yet. Laura is also a fan of the MLS team Sporting Kansas City in the typical fashion of a Nebraskan: loving a KC team due to lack of anything at all in the state of Nebraska.
Eric Walcott is a Legislative Assistant in the Michigan House of Representatives by day, and a soccer fan 24/7. He’s played soccer his whole life and now covers MLS, Portland Timbers, and Arsenal for LWOS. Eric helped start the supporters group Sons of Ransom for NPSL club Lansing United because there’s nothing quite like standing in the crowd and supporting your local team every weekend. 4th place might not be a trophy, but THE FA CUP SURELY IS!
Treble Radio host, Arslan Siddiqui, is a Canadian who does not speak many languages, but he has definitely specialized in the language of the beautiful game. When his grasp of the language isn’t strong enough, he (tries) to substitute it with comedy. He is a Liverpool fan who started the ‘Anfield Alive’ column on Last Word On Sports, where he provides commentary and opinion on everything Liverpool and Premier League related. A university student and a young adult, he promises to provide entertainment and (a little bit of) knowledge!
