MLS Pick ‘Em 2015: BONUS Round  – Montreal Impact v Club America

This week we get two, count ’em, TWO games to pick. Up first is our bonus round where we pick the champion for tonight’s big game. The CONCACAF Champions League final is full of story lines, but let’s get down to brass tacks. Here are the current standings:

Player Points Correct Outcome Correct Score Incorrect
Russ McKenzie 8 4 2 5
Jeff Krause 6 6 0 3
Ned Joyce 5 3 1 6
Alec Rivera 5 3 1 6
Eric Walcott 4 4 0 5
Michael Norton 2 2 0 7
John Richan 2 2 0 7
Joseph Goldstein 1 1 0 8

Montreal has the opportunity to make MLS history tonight by winning the CONCACAF Champions League. They earned a hard fought 1-1 Draw in the Away leg, but Club America had all of the attack, with none of the finishing. Will we see the same tonight? Let’s see what our experts have to say:

Expert Pick Comments
Joseph GoldsteinAnalyst@LastWord_JG  Draw (2-2) Club America wins on away goals in spite of the valiant effort in front of the large home crowd from the MLS underachievers.
Eric WalcottStaff Writer@ericwalcott  CA (3-1) As much as I’d love for an MLS club to finally win CCL I just don’t see it happening.
Alec RiveraDepartment Head@LWOSAlec  MTL (2-1) They’ll absorb pressure most of the match, but when their counterattack is on, its lethal
Jeff KrauseEditor@DFBJeff MTL (2-1) Because everyone loves an underdog.
Russ McKenzieDepartment Head@Russ_McKenzie  CA (2-1) Even though it will be close, the Impact will not be able to weather the storm CA is going to bring in the first 20 minutes. The magic runs out of Montreal, but that should not take anything away from thier CCL run.
John RichanStaff Writer@John_Richan  MTL (1-0) As the Impact writer for LWOS I have to go with Montreal. Look for big games from Ciman and Piatti.
Michael NortonEditor@MichaelNorton95  MTL (2-1) When rolling, Jack McInerney can score “how the heck did he do that?!?!” goals. He’ll get one to break the deadlock and send soccer fans North of Mexico into a FRENZY.
Ned JoyceContributor@nedjoyce MTL (1-0) Montreal wins the CONCACAF Champions league
