Chris Smalling and Manchester United have agreed on contract extension. The new deal will keep the defender at the club until June 2019.

Smalling 25, was signed by Sir Alex Ferguson from Fulham in 2010. The English man has since won two Premier League medals with the club.
“I’m delighted to sign my new contract. I am so proud to play for such a great club,” said Smalling, whose previous contract had been due to expire next year. “We have developed as a team over the course of the season under Louis van Gaal and we are now playing as a complete unit. This is a very exciting time to be at Manchester United. We are all determined to get back to where we belong and competing at the highest level.”

Smalling has won 16 caps for England and has represented the country in the U-18, U-20 and the U-21 level. He made his first international debut against Bulgeria in 2011.
The inform defender has appeared 147 times for Manchester United since he joined in 2010, and scored nine goals for the Red Devils. His debut for the club came in August 2010 in a Community Shield match against Chelsea.
