LWOS TWO STARTS PITCHERS TO STREAM WEEK OF APRIL 5

Jake Odorizzi, SP, Tampa Bay Rays, Yahoo! Availability 30%

Probable Starts: 4/7 vs Baltimore; 4/12 @ Miami

Jake Odorizzi had a 2.62 ERA and 102 strikeouts in 99 innings at Tropicana Field last season, so I recommend you start him every time he pitches at home. The Orioles have a good offense but Odorizzi always seems to pitch well in Tampa. Odorizzi’s first road start is a good one, too, facing a Marlins lineup, that other than Giancarlo Stanton and Marcel Ozuna, shouldn’t scare fantasy owners. Not to mention they struck out 8 times on Opening Night and only managed 1 run.

Jesse Hahn, SP, Oakland A’s, Yahoo! Availability 51%

Probable Starts: 4/7 vs Texas; 4/12 vs Seattle

Jesse Hahn should be effective this year for Oakland, especially because of his strikeout potential. Hahn will get a great match up to start the season, as he will face a poor Rangers lineup who only managed 1 hit against Sonny Gray in the season opener. Next he will play the Mariners at home, facing a team that is very prone to strikeouts. Pickup Hahn if he’s still available and start him with confidence this week.

Colby Lewis, SP, Texas Rangers, Yahoo! Availability 99%

Probable Starts: 4/7 vs Oakland; 4/12 vs Houston

Colby Lewis, when healthy, is effective and can put up decent fantasy numbers when facing a favorable match up. This week, Lewis will get two of these favorable match ups, facing the A’s and Astros. The A’s offense is inconsistent and won’t put up another 8 run game like they did on Opening Night. The Astros match up is very enticing to fantasy owners, as they had the second most strikeouts of any team in the league last season. I expect a good game against Houston and that alone makes him worthy for Week 1 streaming.
