According to reports, free agent running back Reggie Bush has agreed to sign with the San Francisco 49ers. Financial Terms have not yet been released. The move brings Bush back to California where he (won a Heisman Trophy) with the USC Trojans.

2015 brings Reggie Bush to a new team for the fourth time in his career. He was let go by the Detroit Lions in February after another injury plagued season. He is a tremendous asset to any team when healthy, yet he is not the stereotypical “between the tackles” runner that many offenses need.

Reggie Bush has the rare ability to break one off from anywhere on the field. He is electrifying and must be accounted for on the outside by the defense at all times. Having such a threat opens up the middle of the field for other players on offense. Bush brings more to the table then a flashy runner and a good pass catcher.

Bush has had issues staying on the field. Not playing football is a sure fire way to get your walking papers to play football somewhere else. As long as a team takes Reggie for the right price and does not expect a three-down back, he will add play making ability to an offense and superiority to a special teams unit with his speed and agility.
