Iowa Energy lighting up at just the right moment

Tuesday night in Delaware, the Iowa Energy took down Delaware for their fifth straight win, and it appears the team is peaking at just the right time.  The NBA Development League Playoffs kick off during the second week of April and Iowa is poised to earn a playoff spot.

With their most recent win, the Energy move within one game of the Sioux Falls SkyForce for the first place spot in the division.  Iowa has played two less games than Sioux Falls, in theory being down by, “Two wins.”

The Energy will travel to Westchester for their third meeting of the season with the Knicks.  The first two were split with both teams winning on their home courts.  No, Westchester does not have the most appealing record, but the Knicks can be a dangerous team at home.  All nine of their wins came at home.  ALL NINE.

Energy (21-17) vs. Maine (26-13)

Date:  Friday
Time:  7:00pm ET

The conference leading Maine Red Claws could be standing in Iowa’s way of a seven game win streak on Friday.  The good thing is when both of these teams play, the matchup is stellar.  Close games occur almost every time they meet, and this one won’t be an exception.
