Ndamukong Suh to Sign for Miami Dolphins

According to reports, Defensive Tackle Ndamukong Suh has signed with the Miami Dolphins.

According to reports, Defensive Tackle Ndamukong Suh will sign with the Miami Dolphins on Tuesday the deal is reported to be a 6 year $114 million contract with $60 million guaranteed.

One of the hotly tipped free agents of this year’s class, Ndamukong Suh has earned the reputation of being one of the hardest hitting and dirtiest players in the league. Drafted by the Detroit Lions in 2010 with the 2nd overall pick, the 6ft 4in, 305lbs behemoth has gone from strength to strength during his tenure in motor city.

Suh, 28 has appeared in 4 Pro-Bowls been selected 4 times all pro and has been awarded the AP and NFL Defensive rookie of the year along with several other honours. Last season he posted 53 combined tackles and 8.5 sacks, he was also banned for one game for a stamp on Green Bay Packers Quarterback Aaron Rodgers during their week 17 clash. This ban was reduced on appeal to $70,000 fine and he was allowed play in the wildcard game.

While this offence was treated as a first time infringement under the leagues new discipline structure it is not his first run in with the league. Suh has received over $400,000 in either fines or lost wages during his 6 years in the league he was also banned for two games in 2011 for another stomp on a Packers player, this time the arm of Evan Dietrich-Smith.

While there is no denying Suh’s talent, which has seen him obtain 239 career tackles along with 36 total sacks his inability to remain cool headed during crucial games has seen him pay the price in terms of money and games lost.
