We have another interesting day of fantasy CBB on our hands here. After doing my research for today, I’ve found that there is just a lot of ugly going around tonight. If your looking to find stars tonight look up in the sky for them, cause there aren’t many on the board today. I don’t blame people who decide to fade tonight as there is really no clear cut direction to take, but I simply cannot because I’m a degenerate. Tonight will be about whose lineup is less uglier than everyone else’s. Based on projections of players, I expect 210-215 to cash you most 50/50s and win you your small leagues tonight. Let’s dive right into the plays I like for tonight.
FANTASY CBB 3-5-15
Top High-Priced Plays
Daniel Hamilton -Forward Connecticut. Price 8900
Hamilton continues to be the core of UConn’s offense and tonight will be no difference. With no Nichols for Memphis removes a big inside presence, which will open more doors for Hamilton. His peripherals recently have been incredible and his last time out vs Memphis he had arguably his best game of the season. I certainly don’t expect a repeat of 54 fantasy points, but I think you need Hamilton in your lineup. I can see you pivoting from him to Kaminsky, but with similar floors and ceilings I’ll take the 1500 pay cut.
Will Cummings -Guard Temple. Price 7600
I mentioned Cummings on here last time as one of the better players in college that no one knows about. Playing in the American conference has limited his exposure, but do not let that fool you. Cummings can ball, and he draws a real nice match-up tonight vs the pirates. As long as he doesn’t get into foul trouble which could always happen with Cummings since he is very aggressive on the defense end, he’ll make value.
Top Mid-Priced Plays
Duane Notice -Guard South Carolina. Price 5500
Notice is the price for price value play of the day. After reeling off four straight 25+ fantasy performances he has seemed to really find his stride. He has been getting steal recently which have been padding his numbers, but his peripheral upside is still there. He will contribute in rebounds and assists along with a bit of scoring. Needing only 26 fantasy points for value, he is a strong play tonight vs the uptempo Arkansas.
Gerry Blakes -Guard Arizona State. Price 5800
I expect Holder to be higher owned, but I like Blakes in this spot more. When Blakes is on the floor he is constantly shooting, and at home in a fast paced game I like Blakes to put up some nice numbers. Holder is a bit too stagnant for me at time and at the same price, I like Blakes more.
Top Low-Priced Guys
Jordan Loveridge -Forward Utah. Price 4800
This price is just too low for the match-up Loveridge has tonight. While I do not expect him too see more than 25 minutes, that should be all he needs to hit 18 fantasy points for value. Utah will be scoring very easily tonight and Loveridge gets his 8-9 shots up per game along with some boards. I like Loveridge here to hit value. You can also move off to Poeltl, I just feel they have similar floors and ceilings, and Loveridge is 500 cheaper.
Michael Humphrey -Forward Stanford. Price 5100
Humphrey has had no less than about 17 fantasy points in his last five games, and this match-up might been better than all of them. His foul trouble issue is scary but the minutes are there along with production when on the court. Arizona State is nothing inside and Humphrey could really put together a nice game tonight.
