The Montreal Canadiens added some local speed by acquiring forward Torrey Mitchell from the Buffalo Sabres for a prospect and a pick.
Prospect and pick from Habs to Buf for Mitchell.

Mitchell, 30, is a Greenfield Park, Quebec native who has been playing in the league since 2007-2008. He was drafted by the San Jose Sharks, who play the Canadiens tonight on trade deadline day. With just 6 goals and 7 assists for 13 points in 51 games, Mitchell hasn’t ever really been a point producer in the league and instead finds himself usually on the bottom six. At 5’11”, 189lbs, the right handed forward has always had to use his breathtaking speed to get little, if anything, done.
Keep your eyes posted to the Last Word On Sports Hockey Team as we will be posting full details and analysis of all trades leading up to the 3:00 PM EST NHL Trade Deadline.
