In a Word is a week in sports recap column that recaps the major stories of the past week– in one word.

This past week was dominated by players being released, traded and injured. In a week that started by being dominated by the Adrian Peterson saga, it ended with veterans being released by the NFL.

In the coming weeks, we should see even more action in the NFL. Players and teams will be jockeying for position.

There doesn’t ever seem to be too much of a dull moment when it comes to sports. This week proved that with a lot going on in thee of the four major sports leagues.

For this Minnesota Timberwolves fan there was a player who brought him back to good memories of his team. Kevin Garnett is back where he belongs and that’s great news for Timberwolves fans looking for something to cheer about this season.
