Invicta FC is holding their 11th big show this Friday February 27, 2015. Invicta FC 11 will feature 16 female MMA fighters, with Christiane “Cyborg” Justino (12-1-1NC) vs. Charmaine “Not So Sweet” Tweet (6-4) for the Invicta FC Featherweight Title as the main event. Alexa Grasso (6-0) will take on Mizuki Inoue (8-3) in the co=-main event. Also featured will be DeAnna Bennett vs Norma Rueda, Briana VanBuren vs Amy Montenegro plus four more bouts on this stacked fight card.
Christiane “Cyborg” Justino is the current Invicta FC Featherweight World Champion and the former Strikeforce Featherweight Champion. Cyborg Justino became the Inauguaral Invicta Featherweight Champion when she defeated Marloes Coenen in July 2013. Justino is a black belt in Muay Thai under Master Rafel Cordeiro and a brown belt under Andre’ Galvao. She is known for her ferocity in the ring and her kind demeanor outside of the ring. Justino is strong, powerful and a finisher, of her 12 wins 10 are by KO.
Justino was the champion of Strikeforce after defeating Gina Carano for the built. She ran through the Strikefore competitors only to receive a knockout blow when she tested for PED’S (performance enhancing drugs) in January of 2012. This positive test resulted in her victory against Hiroko Yamanaka being ruled a no contest, a fine of $2500 and the loss of her license for one year. In February 2013 Cyborg signed with Invicta FC and has won all of her bouts with the promotion.
Charmaine “Not So Sweet” Tweet is a kickboxer by nature. When her interest in boxing led her to Duke Roufus Gym where she fell in love with MMA. She has participated in kickboxing tournaments where she was the IFMA (International Federation of Mauythai Amateur) World Lightweight Champion as well as the IKF (International Kickboxing Federation) Welterweight World Champion. Tweet made her MMA debut against Julie Kenzie only to have the current UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey waiting to do battle. Tweet was defeated via arm bar submission. Tweet is predominately a Muay Thai Kickboxer, however her submission game is not too shabby, she has five wins by submission, Tweet likes the guillotine and the rear naked choke. She also has one TKO victory.
When “Cyborg” and “Not So Sweet” get in the cage, it’s going to be fireworks. I feel Cyborg Justino is going to get the TKO victory. Tweet is game, but I don’t think she has the power, viciousness or experience to beat Christiane “Cyborg” Justino.
