FANTASY CBB Plays 2-22-15

This is one of the more interesting Sundays for Fantasy CBB Plays in quite some time. As always, I will provide my top high, middle, and low priced plays.

This is one of the more interesting Sundays for Fantasy CBB Plays in quite some time. Usually there is just enough games to make you feel good enough about your lineup, and you confidentially enter your contests. This slate of games reminds me of a Saturday just based on sheer volume. With these 11 games there are so many directions you could go. While some fantasy players thrive on days like this, others simply do not perform up to their normal potential. This must have to do with getting caught up in all the options. Voices in your head say “I need to have exposure to game X don’t I? I like my lineup, but I’m too reliant on one team. I love my stars, but hate my scrubs, there is no way this team will do well.” I’m sure many other thoughts go on as well, but you just need to focus on what works. That is match-ups and value. As always, I will provide my top high, middle, and low priced plays for today’s action. I think it goes without saying that D’Angelo Russell is the top ceiling option, so I will leave him off these lists completely. I personally am not in love with him tomorrow, but certainly understand fantasy guys that want to back him. I will provide other top guys I like instead.

FANTASY CBB Plays 2-22-15

Top High-Priced Plays

Ryan Boatright -Guard Connecticut. Price 8700

We finally got to see Boatright’s floor for the first time in over a month. Don’t let this one bad day, make you fade on him. Boatright is far more consistent at home, and is the focal point of this offense. They are projected to win by double digits and UConn’s success and failures start and stop with Boatright.

Shaquille Harrison -Guard Tulsa. Price 7700

I know what you are thinking. With this many games, why am I playing someone from Tulsa? Harrison is someone who if you haven’t watched play, you might want to do so. Next to Boatright, Harrison is the second most talented player in the American Athletic Conference. He can poke holes up and down a box score, and draws a great home match-up against Temple. He will not be highly owned, as people will be looking elsewhere for value, but do the right thing here.

Terran Petteway -Forward Nebraska. Price 8400

If you are someone who values home road splits, then this play is for you. When Petteway is away from home, it is like a different player is wearing his jersey. It’s crazy the difference in gameplay when Petteway is home vs when he is on the road. Averaging fantasy 40 points at home in his last three games, you have to consider having him in your lineups. The forward position isn’t exactly a pool of future hall of famers tomorrow, and paying up for Petteway may be the way to go. His usage at home in this offense is silly, and in a close game at home, he’ll be leaned on heavily.

Top Mid-Priced Plays

Jae’Sean Tate -Forward Ohio State. Price 5700

Since moving into the starting lineup a few weeks back, Tate has performed far better than earlier in the season. You can attribute the better box score numbers to him getting more minutes as well, but he is simply playing with more confidence. Ohio State starts and ends with Russell, but his right hand man is Tate. If you want to play a player from Ohio State and don’t want to pay for Russell, Tate would be your guy. His numbers are a bit up and down, but with Michigan’s issues in the paint, Tate may be primed for a big day.

Shaquielle McKissic -Forward Arizona State. Price 6100

How is McKissic mentioned in this article and not Goodman? This answer is purely value. Goodman at 7800 is getting to a point where you really have to decide if he’s worth fitting in with your other guys. McKissic has a similar usage rate in this offense for 1600 cheaper. He will play virtually the entire game unless he gets stuck in foul trouble. He also has a very fantasy friendly match-up with USC.

Kadeem Jack -Forward Rutgers. Price 6400

Who is Kadeem Jack?! Is that the guy that used to be the talented scoring forward on the Scarlet Knights? It seems as if Jack has lost his way here and there the last few games. I really like for him to get back on track at Indiana. Indiana is fragile inside and Jack can hit his 12-14 footers all game. He had an okay game at Indiana earlier in the year, but Jack has been better at home, and I expect him to play well tomorrow to give Rutgers a chance to break this losing streak.

Top Low-Priced Plays

Tra Holder -Guard Arizona State. Price 5500

Holder has been mentioned in these articles the last few times, and for good reason. He has become a focal point the Arizona St. offense and his price is taking FanDuel way too long to bump up. As long as he sits below 6000, Holder will be in play. As mentioned earlier, USC has opposing players licking their chops to play them. Arizona St. will score tomorrow, and you will want at least someone from this game. Blakes is also in play, but his price is slightly higher.

Dexter Kernich-Drew -Guard Washington State. Price 4800

The recent move to the starting lineup really put Kernich-Drew on the scene. He is a pure shooter who can heat up quickly, and in a very fast paced game, these are the kind of players you want. This is another player that FanDuel is behind on increasing the price on. There are a lot of guard options at a higher price, but if you decide you want to pay up for forwards, you may need Kernich-Drew in your lineup.

Rodney Purvis -Forward Connecticut. Price 4500

Purvis had been performing very well before his two flops on the road. This actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise because now he is at minimum price with a tremendous match-up. Purvis is shooting more now than he has all season, and don’t expect that to stop tomorrow. He will have his opportunities to score tomorrow and since he has been getting good court time, he could pick up his other peripheral stats as well.
