Brad Keselowski Racing’s Tyler Reddick and Austin Theriault put on a clinic using Friday Nights Camping World Truck Series race. The 19 and 21 year olds swept the one and two starting positions and were less then a quarter lap away from the 1-2 finish.
Reddick took the win, leading 46 laps, while teammate Theriault tried to hold off the late charge from Erik Jones and Scott Lagasse Jr. It stopped the two from racing for the lead but didn’t prevent a four wide finish for second place. Jones passed on the outside, Lagasse on the inside, and Ray Black Jr. tried to go below the yellow line to create more drama.
NCWTS: BKR dominates Daytona
With ten to go, fourteen cars ran single file in the front pack, however no one made a move until turn four which is why Reddick had it so easy cruising to the victory.
ThorSport teammates Matt Crafton and Johnny Sauter finished 8th and 10th trying to ride at the back of the pack to avoid a wreck, but couldn’t make a run late in the race.
James Buescher tallied a 17th place finish after a big wreck took out half the field.
Reddick cruised to the lead in points standings as well, gathering all five bonus points to earn a six point lead over Teammate Austin Theriault.
