Shane Clanton is off to a hot start in the World of Outlaws Late Model Series this season, grabbing his second win on the young season. He had his first in race #2 at Screven.
WoO LMS Volusia Night 1 review
Although the Outlaws regular was able to grab the win, locals filled the field and it showed they really know how that Volusia course works. Don O’Neal, Jonathan Davenport, Kent Robinson, and Earl Pearson Jr. rounded out the top 5 for the night.
The notable finishes, or at least most of them, came outside the top ten. Defending Champion Darrell Lanigan took 8th, while names like Morgan Bagely, Frank Heckenast Jr. and Josh Richards finished in the teens.
At the end of the day the points just got separated notably compared to what they were last week. Clanton of course took the points lead with his two wins, but the next closest driver is Josh Richards who stands at 64 points behind.
