This is Round 3 of our 2015 Fantasy Football Mock Draft. Some interesting picks as we get going through this round. I believe some speculation will be given. I, along with the rest of the LWOS crew, would love to hear it. Let us know how you feel after you read the round up. 2015 Fantasy Football Mock Draft Round 3
T.Y. Hilton– The smoothest touchdown dance in the game. The T, The Y, what else does he have to say? Last year was his year to step up and be receiver number one in place of the aging great: Reggie Wayne. He did just that. With 82 receptions and 1345 yards he was electrifying to watch. His low touchdown production (7 total) is of concern but the number one receiver in an offense ran by Andrew Luck is too good to pass up here.
Eric (Team 1)
Jimmy Graham– Now this is where I’ll take the stud. 2014 was a bit of a recession for the elite option and was deemed as a draft day dud. Much of this could be, and should be, attributed to the decline in production at quarterback. Yet, he’s still young, avoids injury, and has size and speed. None of that has changed. It seems, only his ADP (average draft position) has, consider me tickled pink.
Casey (Team2)
A.J. Green– Last year was a big disappointment for Green owners. In a season riddled with injury he did not live up to the high expectations of those who took him as their number one receiver. This is how you steal great players in fantasy drafts. After less than admirable campaigns they slide where they should not. A.J. is still a top flight wide out in this league. If he plays all 16 games next year, this is a huge bargain.
Coach (Team 3)
Aaron Rodgers– I have a feeling Aaron Rodgers will not be available at this point when we are all picking our real teams next year. Even with a slow start and dealing with an injury at the end of the year, he managed to finish first in fantasy points last year. Aaron Rodgers is the best in the game. In an offense built for the passing game and his ability to score fantasy points with his legs, this is a sweet steal in round 3.
Mike (Team 4)
Andrew Luck– Until Rodgers caught fire late in the season, Andrew Luck was the runaway top scoring fantasy quarterback. It seemed every week he had 300 yards and 4 touchdowns. A few oddly low performances late in the season quelled his chances at being fantasy top dog (an honor many football players would love to have). Luck will be back slingin’ the rock around and scoring a bunch of fantasy points next year. This kid is just plain good.
Nick (Team 5)
Carlos Hyde– Frank gore will not play for San Francisco next year. That’s right, I said it. That leaves the door open for this young, hungry, beefcake running back to plow down the competition. He is big and he is fast. With the Niner’s offensive coaching staff I am confident they plan to employ the same smash mouth running game that has served them so well in the past. Hyde being the center piece of that attack, I would put him as a potential top 3 running back next year, making this a joke of a pick. Hahahahaha, get it?
Wolf (Team 6)
Randall Cobb– This is contingent on whether he stays with Green Bay or moves on to less greener pastures. He is a PPR machine and how he is still on the board at this point escapes me. My guess is, if he doesn’t return to Lambeau, he’ll follow the money. I’m hopeful that he’ll consider a home that suits his dynamic strengths and with a QB who can actively exploit them.
Bowman (Team 7)
Alshon Jeffery– Both Jeffery and Marshall were on most “experts” top ten fantasy wide receivers in 2014; Yet, neither finished with that production. Marshall had injury problems but most of the blame falls with Cutler. His ability to throw it to the other team is impressive considering his salary. Jeffery still finished with good numbers (11th respectably amongst WR’s) which only proves his value. This is a great pick in the 3rd round considering Jay Cutler couldn’t possibly be worse next year.
Coach (Team 8)
Drew Brees– Many Brees owners were unhappy with his 2014 production. How could they not be? With 6 games under 16 points for the year and only 12, 11, and 9 points in three of the last four weeks (fantasy playoffs for almost every league) Brees broke many hearts last year. Brees is a great quarterback capable of putting up huge numbers at any given time, or all of the time. A bounce back is likely for this elite QB.
Pissari (Team 9)
Lamar Miller– Knowshon Moreno going to Miami was a big hit to Lamar Millers fantasy value going into 2014. Moreno dealing with a lingering injury that (basically) kept him out all year was great for Miller fantasy owners. Miller took the opportunity and ran with it…. Right in to the top 10 amongst running backs in most fantasy scoring systems. He is in line to start 2015 where he left off. With a great up and coming offense, he should be primed for a lot of production next year.
Copolla (Team 10)
