With under two weeks until the CFL Free Agency period begins, the Eskimos have gotten some important business done, and signed one of their best defensive players to a contract extension before he becomes a free agent. Defensive end Odell Willis will continue to wear the Eskimos green and gold, and to terrorize opposing quarterbacks. The Eskimos made getting a deal done with the 2014 CFL All-Star a priority this off-season.

Esks Extend Defensive End Odell Willis
(Edmonton) – The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the contract extension of international defensive end Odell Willis, who was set to become a free agent on February 10, 2015.
Last season, Willis racked up a career-high 32 defensive tackles, a team-leading 13 quarterback sacks, six pass knockdowns, five forced fumbles, one fumble recovery and two interceptions – including one returned 17 yards for a touchdown. He earned CFL Defensive Player of the Week honours in Week 4 and was named a West Division and CFL All-Star.
In six CFL seasons, the six-foot-two, 255-pound Willis has amassed 155 defensive tackles, 62 sacks, two interceptions and six fumble recoveries.
Odell Willis originally signed with the Edmonton Eskimos as a free agent on Feb. 15, 2013.
