2015 Boston College Football Schedule Released

The Atlantic Coast Conference released their conference schedules earlier this week making the 2015 Boston College football schedule finally complete.

The Eagles will benefit from seven home games and just five traditional road games this coming season. Boston College will welcome Florida State, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, and North Carolina State for conference games. They will have to travel to Duke, Clemson, Louisville, and Syrcause in conference.

The toughest part of the schedule is likely when they travel to both Clemson and Louisville in back to back weeks. They will also have to travel to Notre Dame for an out of conference game under the ACC’s recent agreement with the Irish.

The Eagles will also welcome Maine, Howard, and Northern Illinois to Chestnut Hill for out of conference games to round out their schedule. Playing two FCS opponents early in the season would likely hurt any potential playoff resume, but will instead likely be key factors in the Eagles reaching six or more wins.

Here is a full breakdown of their schedule:

Week 1 (Sept. 5th): vs. Maine

Week 2 (Sept. 12th): vs. Howard

Week 3 (Sept. 19th): vs. Florida State **ACC**

Week 4 (Sept. 26th): vs. Northern Illinois

Week 5 (Oct. 3rd): @ DUKE **ACC**

Week 6 (Oct. 10th): vs. Wake Forest **ACC**

Week 7 (Oct. 17th): @ CLEMSON **ACC**

Week 8 (Oct. 24th): @ LOUISVILLE**ACC**

Week 9 (Oct. 31st): vs. Virginia Tech **ACC**

Week 10 (Nov 7th): vs. NC State **ACC**

Week 11 (Nov 14th): BYE

Week 12 (Nov 21st): @ NOTRE DAME

Week 13 (Nov. 28th): @ SYRACUSE **ACC**

BC should benefit from not having to travel until October as well as getting Florida State early while they are still working out the kinks of a new offense. However, back to back games on the road against Clemson and Louisville in the middle of the season as well as a late season trip to Notre Dame make this schedule very tough and leave them no room for error. They are going to have to take care of business in their other three out of conference games as well as their easier conference games against Wake Forest and Syracuse. Their games with Duke, Virginia Tech, and North Carolina State are all fringe games and may decide weather the Eagles make their third straight bowl appearance or not.

Boston College has finished the regular season 7-5 in both of Coach Addazio’s two seasons. They have made two straight bowl games after not appearing in the postseason since 2010.  Boston College made 12 straight bowl appearances from 1999-2010.
