After a year away from football for personal reasons, Scot McCloughan former GM of the San Francisco 49ers and Personal executive of the Seattle Seahawks has joined the Washington Redskins as their new General Manager according to multiple sources
Scot McCloughan Expected to be New Washington GM
McCloughan takes over from Bruce Allen who was promoted to President of the team in May of last year. McCloughan is a very well regarded player scout who helped build the current roster of the San Francisco and is considered to have made both San Francisco and Seattle Super Bowl winning franchise.
The news was initially broke by Michael Robinson a former Fullback with both the 49ers and Seahawks.

Washington will sign McCoughan to a 4 year contract and beat out the likes of the New York Jets.
McCloughan had discussions with the Redskins, Raiders and Jets. In the end, the Skins job fit him best.

McCloughan will have his work cut out for him at Washington, who have several issues with personal and the question as to what to do with Quarterback Robert Griffen III.
