Can Harry Kane Get an England Call-up?

I don’t really know what more there is to say about Harry Kane. Having contributed with a terrific goal to Spurs’ 2-1 away win at Hull a few weeks back, the youngster was again the club’s star man in their most recent Premier League victory against the impressive Everton – the Toffees  had comfortably eased passed Bundesliga flyers Wolfsburg just a few days prior.

Match of the Day presenter and former England striker Gary Lineker said: ‘Harry Kane has a nose for goalscoring. He smells them. You either have it or you don’t.’ And he’s not the only one who’s recognised Kane’s eye for goal. Only recently, Roy Hodgson commented on the striker’s impressive form of late saying: ‘Like Saido, if Harry Kane continues to do well, it won’t be long before he is knocking on the door for a senior call-up.’

Kane’s passion and desire is quite special, and fantastic to see. And not only that, the boy wonder has delivered almost every time when called upon. He gives Tottenham a dimension they have most definitely lacked since Gareth Bale’s departure to Real Madrid. Kane is a player with the ability, confidence and also directness to go at teams, get Spurs up the pitch, draw fouls in, but also have the ability and composure to finish.

Particularly of late, he has come up with the goods for Spurs on a number of occasions, and at important moments too. Having notched the last minute winner at Villa, he was in the right place at the right time and brought Spurs back on level terms with Hull, in a game they later went on to win. Notably this week, he caused Chelsea’s back four all sorts of problems during the opening 20 minutes and was very unlucky not to have scored with a marvellous header.

Additionally, his recent form has grabbed the attention of many football lovers, who follow the Premier League and also the Europa League, from all over the world. His all round game- the ability to finish, as well as to link up with teammates – has really impressed and it’s only a matter of time before he is rewarded with an England call-up, especially when other players have been given the opportunity despite being as inspirational and exciting as Kane.
