NBA Tops and Flops of the Week- Sixers Still Without a Win

Kyle Lowry

With the NBA season rumbling on here is a look around the NBA to determine who has been great (tops) and not so great (flops) in the last seven days. Here are Your NBA Tops and Flops of the week:

Tops

Chicago Bulls- The Bulls are third of the Eastern Conference thanks to a solid 7-3 record. With many teams such as Miami and Indiana looking weak, Chicago are looking like real contenders for the Eastern crown.

Toronto Raptors- At the top of the East, the Raptors are 8-2 and look just as exciting as last year. They could be real contenders this year if they avoid injuries and keep up constant.

Portland Trailblazers- After a shaky start, Portland have won four consecutive games to climb to 4th in the West with a record of 7-3.

Memphis Grizzlies- With continued excellence, the Grizzlies have the best record in the NBA (9-1).

Flops

Philadelphia 76ers- A record of 0-9, a recent 53 point loss against Dallas, and the only remaining team in the league to have not won a game. What more is there to say?

New York Knicks- This year, like most years, the Knicks were predicted relative success. Their 2-8 record after losing a sixth consecutive game proves just the opposite. The defeat at MSG against Orlando epitomizes the problem New York are facing; not enough depth, not enough quality and not enough team play, portrayed by Jr Smith’s crazy three point attempt to win the game despite having teammate Carmelo wide open.

Denver Nuggets- Denver have experienced a nightmare start to the season, and have already lost precious ground in the very competitive race to the playoffs in the west- but due to a recent 6 consecutive defeats the Nuggets have a record of 2-6.
