Jordan Jackson Officially Signs With Texas Tech University

The time has finally come for arguably one of the best shooting guards in the class of 2015, as Jordan Jackson has officially signed his letter of intent to become a Texas Tech Red Raider.

With other offers on the table from the University of Houston and Stephen F. Austin University, Jackson ultimately decided that Texas Tech would give him the best opportunity to succeed on the court. By playing in the Big 12, Jackson will have the opportunity to compete against top-tier basketball programs such as the University of Texas and the University of Kansas.

Jackson’s mother, Sheryl Swoopes, who played in the WNBA from 1997-2011 and is widely considered the greatest female basketball player ever, also spent her college days at Texas Tech. It will definitely be exciting to see Jackson continue the legacy of his mother in a Red Raider uniform.

With the signing official, Jackson can now focus on leading his high school team, the St. Pius X Panthers, to a state championship. And with the motivation of signing to a Big 12 school, he seems more focused now than ever before.
