Fabber’s Believe It or Not, Be Smooth and Fantasy Football Week 11.

I get complaints about trades all day every day, hell sometimes multiple complaints from the same person in a single day. What most seem to not understand is there is an art to the trade.

Any relationship starts at some point, either by a look, gesture, or as simple as a hello. Why would we think trading would be different? I can’t stand when I get a trade request without the person even reaching out to me. Really, you think we can make a deal without even talking about it?

This is how a trade should start out.

Player A: Hey, hope all is well. I was checking your team and I wanted to see if you would think about moving this guy. Check out my roster and see if we might be able to work something out that helps both of us.

Player B: Thanks man and I will check it out. I like my squad but I am always up for doing something that makes it better.

Player A: Awesome, I will check back later and see what we can do.

See how easy that was?!?!?!? I lose my mind when someone tells me those cheap lines like “You know I am giving away too much” or “I am asking for your bad players and giving you better ones”. Do not treat the person like they are an idiot. Why would you want to take my bad players? Insulting a person is a good way for them not to want to work with you.

Life lesson that you should follow in trading is do not lie!!! I have a computer, internet and yes I do watch the games, so do not think I believe you when you tell me the guy you want to give me is a top 10 running back. This is a turn off for the ladies and for me. Hear what I want and see if we can make it happen. Not every trade was meant to happen and I know that is hard to believe like every person of the opposite sex doesn’t want you either.

Think of trading as trying to date. Be cool but not cheesy. Be respectful. Be caring but not demanding. In the fantasy football world, work out a deal that helps both sides.

This can all be summed up in one phrase, be smooth.

Before we get to week 11 let’s see what we did in week 10.

Here is some Week 10 Believes that made us look good.

Here is some Week 10 Believes that made us look bad.
PLAYERS NAME POINTS PREDICATED POINTS SCORED
BOBBY RAINEY 16 5
JEREMY HILL 14 3
STEVE SMITH SR 11 1
TRAVIS KELCE 14 1
OWNE DANIELS 12 2

Here is some Week 10 Nots that made us look good.
They all did but the 49ers Defense and Caleb Sturgis, so you are welcome.
Let’s not waste any more time and get this big win in Week 11.

Believes

QBs
Phillip Rivers SD, 26 Points: If having two weeks to prepare for a team in the Raiders that give up over 17 points to the opposing teams quarterback isn’t enough to start him nothing will be.

Matt Ryan ATL, 24 Points: I know he doesn’t do well on the road but he normally isn’t playing a defense that looks like a high school team’s talent. Carolina just made a guy known for a butt fumble look good. The panthers give up almost 19 points to quarterbacks per game, which is in the top 5 for worst in the league.

Colin Kaepernick SF, 20 Points: If he doesn’t perform the way we know he can it will be the last time I ever put him on this list. Ok, maybe that’s not true but I am angry. He has the match up to succeed and the weapons, its time.

RBs
Steven Jackson ATL, 12 Points: On the road going against one of the easiest rush defenses in the league. They have to establish the run and he is the guy to do it.

Jerick McKinnon MIN, 11 Points: The Bears give up 18 points to opposing running backs so far this year. AP is not back yet and someone needs to help Bridgewater get the ball down the field. He will be the best back in a Viking uniform.

CJ Anderson DEN, 10 Points: Everyone plays the Broncos trying to stop Peyton Manning. This will give Anderson the room needed to make a name for him. The Rams are not bad against the run but they normally do not play this offense or this quarterback.

WR
Mike Evans TB, 14 Points: He surprised me staying relevant when McCown came back as the starter. Now he has a matchup versus a Washington defense that gives up over 22 points per game to opposing wide receivers. The hot streak continues

Kelvin Benjamin CAR, 12 Points: He has 85 targets so far this year and brought 43 of them in for receptions. He is going against an Atlanta defense that gives up 25 points to opposing wide receivers, seems like a great combo.

DeAndre Hopkins HOU, 12 Points: The Browns are a solid team but give up some points to opposing receivers especially the ones not covered by Haden, which Hopkins will be. Mallet will be ready and shock the world.

TEs
Antonio Gates SD, 14 Points: Rivers trusts Gates more than any other player on that roster. Oakland has one of the worst red zone defenses versus tight ends in the league. I like those odds.

Travis Kelce KC, 12 Points: Seattle hasn’t fixed their problem of defending tight ends. KC has a tight end friendly system and Smith likes to do the safe throw. This will be another one of those games that make you believe in him.

Kickers
Mason Crosby GB, 12 Points

Shayne Graham NO, 11 Points

Defenses
Chargers 15 Points

Dolphins 14 Points

Nots

QBs
Eli Manning NYG, 17 Points: Injuries and lack of depth has broken this team’s chances and spirits. He might be a not for the rest of the year if things don’t turn around fast.

Robert Griffith III WSH, 16 Points: He is coming off a bye week with time to rest and practice but still on the right list. All the signs point to a big game but this is one of those feelings like it will not live up to the hype. I also fear injuries with him way too much.

RBs
Tre Mason STL, 7 Points: I know we all love this guy now but pump the brakes. Denver has quietly become one of the best rush defenses in the NFL. It could help that they score early and often and force you to pass the ball. That doesn’t help Masons cause.

Lamar Miller MIA, 5 Points: Not only is this a rough stretch for the Dolphins and Miller he is also dealing with a bum shoulder. If he plays you shouldn’t.

WRs
Odell Beckham NYG, 8 Points: The problem when you lose your number one receiver is they get to focus more attention to others. San Fran knows he is the playmaker, so they will focus on not letting him make any.

Matavis Bryant PIT, 5 Points: The touchdown streak ends and so does his great streak in fantasy. Only so long TD dependent players make it and he is definitely one of those. He is still a great talent.

TEs
Larry Donnell NYG, 6 Points: I figured I put the rest of the Giants here why not add this one.

Jared Cook STL, 5 Points: The Rams will have to throw the ball but they will also focus on taking him away from the Rams young QB. I am not even sold in PPR formats.

Kickers
Billy Cundiff CLE, 6 Points

Steven Hauschka SEA, 5 Points

Defenses
Bengals 8 Points

Colts 6 Points
