Who should be a part of the Survivor Series Main Event?

One of the most anticipated pay-per-views of the year is just around the corner and it boasts the exceptional main event of Team Authority up against Team Cena in the traditional five-on-five Survivor Series elimination match, with Triple H and Stephanie McMahon’s control of the company on the line.

As of yet the official teams are still set to be revealed which allows many fans to speculate as to who they would have on either team.

These are my picks:

Team Cena

John Cena has been chosen as the unlikely captain of the side who could essentially overthrow The Authority but who should join him on the wrong side of the bosses?

Ryback

Ryback made a sensational return to WWE a few weeks ago with his old “Feed Me More” gimmick and the WWE Universe seem to have latched onto that with Ryback now becoming a new babyface in the absence of Roman Reigns. Ryback looked like he had gained some attention from The Authority on Monday Night after he demolished Titus O’Neil in his second match back.

Ryback is already over with the fans after only a few weeks back and being a part of Team Cena could build him further but he has a huge ego, as does Cena. Who knows if the two could co-exist?

The Usos

Since the tag team already had their tag team title match on Smackdown in a steel cage, it looks likely that they wont be playing a part in the title match that should take place at the pay-per-view. This would leave them available to be picked by John Cena if he still needs people on his team. The fan favourite tag team came out and were part of the brawl at the end of Raw last week and would definitely step up to try to put an end to The Authority if given the chance.

Dolph Ziggler

The Showoff was one of John Cena’s first picks and in his absence on both Smackdown and Raw this week, The Authority have made an example out of the Intercontinental Champion. This could deter Dolph from wanting to be a part of Team Cena because John wasn’t there to back him up when he needed him, or Dolph could wait and be a part of the team and turn on Cena to cost him the match. Either way, Dolph has been the victim of a lot of abuse from The Authority in recent weeks and you have to feel Dolph will have a lot to say about it in the near future.

Erick Rowan

The estranged former member of The Wyatt family is still set to make his intentions known after Bray Wyatt went solo a few weeks ago. Erick has been seen in various backstage segments but as of yet it is unclear if he is face or heel so could really be a part of either team at Survivor Series. That said, it would be great if Luke Harper was picked on Team Authority and Rowan for Team Cena.

Big E

What has become of the former Intercontinental Champion? Big E has hardly been seen in the latter stages of this year and many fans have hardly even noticed his absence. This would be a fantastic way to build up his return or for him to come back and blame The Authority for him not playing a bigger part in WWE proceedings.

Team Authority

Seth Rollins and Kane have already been announced as the co-captains of Team Authority, but who should join them?

Rusev

The Bulgarian Brute has to be at the top of anyone’s list of picks. Undefeated since the night after Wrestlemania, he is still yet to be pinned and he has dominated every opponent that has been thrown at him, en route to becoming the new United States champion. If The Authority did lose it could be seen as Rusev’s first WWE loss and it would depend if he could be controlled as well. Does Putin approve of The Authority?

Mark Henry

The Worlds Strongest Man has been in a bad mood as of late after he turned on his tag team partner The Big Show last week on Raw. If he doesn’t have a match at Survivor Series against Big Show then The Authority have to recruit him onto their team. He is one of the most dominant forces in WWE and if The Authority hope to stand a chance then they need him on their team.

Luke Harper

Probably one of the best picks of the two teams, Luke Harper needs to stay heel and join Team Authority. He has the look of a heel and was one of the silver linings of the entire Wyatt Family. He is a big guy who can move like a high flyer and would be the ace that The Authority could have up their sleeve.

Bad New Barrett

It was said that Barrett would be returning in time for the European Tour which is currently taking place. Vince and The Authority are a big fan of Barrett and what an explosive return it would be if he sided with The Authority in order to help them maintain power?

These are wrestlers currently available and doesn’t include any that are out through injury such as Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan because the two are said to be on the injury list for a few more months. Surprise entries are always another option, but these feel like the safe options.
