Maple Leafs Joffrey Lupul Out Three Weeks With Broken Hand

Recent news out of the Toronto Maple Leafs organization, is that left winger Joffrey Lupul added to his long list of injuries with a broken hand suffered at the Leafs morning practice on Thursday Morning.

Friday night before the game against the Columbus Blue Jackets, the Leafs official twitter account posted these tweets updating Joffrey Lupul’s status:

This news was updated on Saturday with coach Randy Carlyle stating that Lupul is expected to be out for at least three weeks.

Lupul has quite a long list of injuries throughout his twelve year career with Abdominal, Back, Broken Arm, Broken Wrist, Bruised Spine, Concussions, Separated Shoulder, Sprained Ankle, Strained Groin, and Torn Meniscus. Lupul has played in 609 career National Hockey League games, scoring 186 goals, and 202 assists.

Joffrey Lupul has two goals and one assist for three points in nine games this season. After his slow start he played his most recent game on Tuesday on a line with Nazem Kadri and Phil Kessel, but it appears that any plans to jumpstart his season by playing with Kessel will have to be put on hold.
