The LWOS Baseball Department is pleased to bring you their live game blog, in conjunction with Cover It Live. The Blog will be going live tonight at 7:30 pm as the American League Champion Kansas City Royals take on the National League Champion San Francisco Giants. With a big win last night the Giants evend up the series. Now we turn to the critical World Series Game 5. We’ll be here through every game, and every big play, bringing you the best in baseball coverage during the World Series.

The Giants singled, singled, singled their way to an 11-4 win in Game 4 of the series, to even things up at one game a piece. Now they go back to their ace, Madison Baumgarner, in an attempt to take a 3-2 lead back to Kansas City on Tuesday. Meanwhile the Royals put “Big Game James”, James Shields back on the mound. He hasn’t been living up to his name with an ERA over 7 in these playoffs, and he didn’t prove competitive in his game 1 matchup with Bumgarner. The Royals need more from Shields today if they are to take the lead back to Kansas City. First pitch is expected to be around 8:05 pm EDT.
