Infiniti will run a two car team in the BTCC next season. The Infiniti backed team will be called Support Our Paras Racing which will help the charity with funds and also awareness. The company currently runs as Red Bull Racing’s primary sponsor in F1.
The team will run a Q50 based Infiniti but have yet to decide whether they will run a front or rear-wheel drive car after the regulations have been confirmed and cleared up for the coming season. The driver and also team boss will be the experienced Derek Palmer alongside Richard Hawken who will also be helping to build the cars.
The team will employ injured paratroopers to work in the factory and make a successful career in the BTCC. It is a big deal for the whole of BTCC to have this fantastic team enter the best British championship and I’m sure they will make it even more exciting and as we get more news and information about the team in the coming months about everything to do with the BTCC the updates will keep coming.
