UPDATE: Roman Reigns has been taken off the Night of Champions card. This report comes from WWE.com:
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — WWE.com has learned that Roman Reigns has undergone emergency surgery for an incarcerated hernia. Reigns had been in Nashville to promote tomorrow’s Night of Champions pay-per-view. His recovery time will be evaluated by the local surgeon and WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann, but he will be unable to compete against Seth Rollins tomorrow night.

Roman Reigns was scheduled for Sunday night to face Seth Rollins at Night of Champions. Reigns has been considered one of the biggest rising stars in the WWE since his performance at the 2004 Royal Rumble. Once seen as the weak link of The Shield, Reigns intensity and quiet charisma won over WWE fans quickly. He broke Kane’s record for most Royal Rumble eliminations but failed to win the Royal Rumble. Since Seth Rollins turned on Reigns and Shield stablemate Dean Ambrose, Ambrose and Rollins have been feuding while Roman has tried to make his bid for the WWE World Heavyweight championship. With the absence of Ambrose, Reigns has turned his attention himself to Rollins, currently the WWE Money in the Bank winner. Some people have been disinterested in their feud after Reigns defeated Rollins on Monday Night Raw, giving up the match on free television a week prior to their match on Pay Per View.
We will have more on this as information develops.
