Fantasy Running Back Rankings 10-6
#10 DeMarco Murray
Year | Age | Team | G | R-Att | Yards | TD | Avg | Rec | Yards | Avg | TD | Tar | Fum | Fum lost |
2011 | 23 | Dal | 13 | 164 | 897 | 2 | 5.5 | 26 | 183 | 7 | 0 | 35 | 1 | 0 |
2012 | 24 | Dal | 10 | 161 | 663 | 4 | 4.1 | 35 | 251 | 7.2 | 0 | 42 | 3 | 2 |
2013 | 25 | Dal | 14 | 217 | 1121 | 9 | 5.2 | 53 | 350 | 6.6 | 1 | 66 | 3 | 1 |
Murray had by far his most productive season last year. He however, still missed two games. The risk here is high as the 14 games last season was his high in three seasons in the league. Murray is a talented RB and is the classic high risk high reward players. He should be a second round pick with the risk he has. Do not jump the gun on Murray, as his risk should move him to the second round.

#9 Zac Stacy
Year | Age | Team | G | R-Att | Yards | TD | Avg | Rec | Yards | Avg | TD | Tar | Fum | Fum lost |
2013 | 22 | StL | 14 | 250 | 973 | 7 | 3.9 | 26 | 141 | 5.4 | 1 | 35 | 1 | 1 |
Stacy was one of the breakout fantasy football rookies in the NFL last season. He was a prime waiver wire pickup candidate after his surprising week 5 performance. He’ll be a surprise to no one this year, from a fantasy standpoint, and could be a premier RB1. Greatest strength: a strong, durable and consistent every down back. Biggest weakness: The loss of Bradford would not seem to help Stacy this year.

#8 Arian Foster
Year | Age | Team | G | R-Att | Yards | TD | Avg | Rec | Yards | Avg | TD | Tar | Fum | Fum lost |
2011 | 24 | Hou | 13 | 278 | 1224 | 10 | 4.4 | 53 | 617 | 12 | 2 | 72 | 5 | 3 |
2012 | 25 | Hou | 16 | 351 | 1424 | 15 | 4.1 | 40 | 217 | 5.4 | 2 | 58 | 3 | 2 |
2013 | 26 | Hou | 8 | 121 | 542 | 1 | 4.5 | 22 | 183 | 8.3 | 1 | 35 | 0 | 0 |
If you are willing to roll the dice with an early draft pick, Arian Foster could be a great option. With no competition for touches now that Ben Tate has gone, and questions at QB causing concern for the passing game, the Texans offence will most likely revolve around Foster when he is on the field. But that is not a given, considering his recent injury problems. He only played in eight games in 2013 due to a herniated disk, and a hamstring problem has limited his participation in offseason activities. Foster is the kind of high risk, high reward pick that can make or break a fantasy team. Whether you take that risk or not is up to you.

#7 Montee Ball
Year | Age | Team | G | R-Att | Yards | TD | Avg | Rec | Yards | Avg | TD | Tar | Fum | Fum lost |
2013 | 22 | Den | 16 | 120 | 559 | 4 | 4.7 | 20 | 145 | 7.3 | 0 | 27 | 3 | 3 |
Montee Ball has the chance to be a top 5 back this year. His recent appendectomy has scared many owners away from drafting him, and you should take advantage of his falling stock. Ball was a big time runner in college, flashing speed and power that only NFL backs have. 2013 was not the rookie campaign that many imagined for him; poor pass blocking and early fumbling issues led to the rise of Knowshon Moreno, who finished 5th in RB points. Really? Ball has apparently fixed his pass blocking according to the Denver coaching staff, which is a must in Peyton Manning’s offense. With so many receiving threats, Denver led the league in rushing attempts with 6 or fewer men in the box. Look for Ball, who is a better runner than Moreno, to post great numbers in an impressive Denver offense.

#6 Marshawn Lynch
Year | Age | Team | G | R-Att | Yards | TD | Avg | Rec | Yards | Avg | TD | Tar | Fum | Fum lost |
2011 | 25 | Sea | 15 | 285 | 1204 | 12 | 4.2 | 28 | 212 | 7.6 | 1 | 41 | 3 | 2 |
2012 | 26 | Sea | 16 | 315 | 1590 | 11 | 5 | 23 | 196 | 8.5 | 1 | 30 | 5 | 2 |
2013 | 27 | Sea | 16 | 301 | 1257 | 12 | 4.2 | 36 | 316 | 8.8 | 2 | 44 | 4 | 1 |
While it is still true that Marshawn Lynch has logged the most carries of any back in the past three years (901), it is also true that Lynch is arguably the toughest back out there. Whether the Seahawks commit to cutting his lead back duties down for post-season play, Beastmode will punish any defender that gets in his way. It would be a pure mistake to let Lynch warm the bench.
