Baylor Schedule Preview – You’re not that program anymore

In 2013 Baylor appeared in a major bowl game for the first time since New Year’s Day 1981 when the Cotton Bowl enjoyed that lofty status as the host of the Southwest Conference winner. Baylor suffered a 30-2 loss at the hands of Bear Bryant’s Alabama Crimson Tide. Despite such a long absence from College Football’s bowl spotlight, the Bears were a substantial favorite vs Central Florida in the Fiesta Bowl. Baylor managed a few more points this time around, but were still denied, 52-42. Head Coach Art Briles continues to amaze the College Football world, or at least those who stop and consider from which he has brought this program and the enormous challenges of recruiting to the third most attractive destination in the state, at best. Mark Rogers previews Baylor’s 2014 schedule and calls out the Bears for another another dissappointing selection of blowout probables that are well beneath what the College Football Playoff Committee and the rest of us need to see from a program now considered a contender. Baylor should go 3-0 without breaking a sweat before aiming to defend its Big 12 crown against favored Oklahoma and a slew of periphery contenders.

Mark Rogers has interviewed big time NCAA coaches Tommy Tuberville, George O’Leary, Troy Calhoun, Sonny Dykes, Blake Anderson, Bill Blankenship, Ron Caragher, Matt Wells, and more on his station.  In addition to these they feature analysis of the latest games, picks and point spreads, and coverage of the NFL and NBA.  Be sure to check back often as Mark Rogers will be sharing his best stuff right here at LWOS going forward and we are happy to have him on board.
